Q: Where is Trail Blazers Tack made?
A: All of the tack available from Trail Blazers is made right here in the USA!

Q: How do I place an order?
A: Once you’ve decided on the custom tack you want, simply send a private message to Janet Grimes Stoltz on Facebook. She may double-check sizes, color combinations and other details with you. Once you both have determined the specifics of the order she will send you an invoice via PayPal, so be sure to include your email address when you send her a message.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: Because they offer protection for both buyers and sellers, PayPal is the only accepted payment method.

Q: What if I don’t have a PayPal account?
A: You can pay a PayPal invoice with a credit or debit card even if you don’t have a PayPal account. Once you’ve received your invoice via email, click the “Pay Now” button in the email. (If you don’t see it, click the link in the email, or copy and paste the link into your browser’s address bar.) Just review the invoice, then click Pay Now to complete your transaction.

Q: Do you offer returns?
A: No, we do not accept returns. Just like monogrammed or embroidered items from other tack stores, each of our orders is custom made and cannot be returned. Because of this, it is important for you to double-check sizes, colors and other aspects of your order. You will have the opportunity to do this both while exchanging messages with Janet and once you receive the PayPal invoice. If you change your mind about an order after receiving it you may post it in the Trail Blazers Tack group to try to sell it.

Q: What does shipping cost?
A: Shipping is done via USPS Priority Mail and uses Flat Rate Boxes wherever possible. Typically, smaller orders (such as a headstall and reins or a halter and lead rope set) will fit in a Padded Flat Rate Envelope. Larger orders (such as a halter, headstall, reins and breast collar) are usually shipped in a Medium Flat Rate Box. Very large orders that will not fit in a Medium Flat Rate Box will be shipped in a Large Flat Rate Box. Please check the USPS web site at www.usps.com for current shipping rates for Flat Rate envelopes and boxes.

Q: How soon can I expect to receive my item once it has shipped?
A: Purchases are usually shipped on Fridays. Once a package has been shipped it usually takes 2-3 days to arrive in your mailbox or on your doorstep. If you would like, we can provide you with a tracking number once your order has shipped.

Q: Do you ship to Canada?
A: Yes, but it’s expensive. International shipping is done via the USPS. Please refer to the USPS web site at www.usps.com for current international rates for Flat Rate containers, or contact Janet Grimes Stoltz for more information.

Q: What is the difference between Beta and Biothane?
A: While the two materials are very similar, Beta has more of a matte finish and is softer, like nicely oiled, high quality leather. Biothane has a shinier finish and is a bit more stiff than Beta.

Q: What are the widths of Beta and Biothane you have available?
A: Trail Blazers Tack has Beta available in ½ inch, 5/8 inch, ¾ inch, 1 inch, 1 ¼ inch, 1 ½ inch, and 2 inch widths. Biothane is available in ½ inch, ¾ inch, 1 inch and 1 ½ inch widths.

Q: What are the colors you have available?
A: We have a wide variety of colors in Beta, Biothane, reflective, glow-in-the-dark, bling, rope and more!

Q: What items do you make?
A: We can make pretty much any piece of tack you can imagine, but our regular products include a variety of different halters, headstalls/bridles, reins, leads, breast collars, rigging and other accessories.

Q: How do I clean Beta or Biothane tack?
A: While some people put their Beta or Biothane tack in the dishwasher, we recommend using mild soapy water and a sponge to clean your tack from Trail Blazers.
